After a tough two periods that
had the Wolves and KS tied at 0-0. And after an equally
uneventful 2nd period, Michigan then erupted for 6 3rd
period goals. Mike Macari let the Michigan scorers with 2
goals and Popp, Rini, Papke and Wilson notching individual
goals. The real story is Freshman Paul Petrous who has
played strong against a wide open, attacking Kent State
squad, notching his first collegiate shutout. The first
shutout by a Michigan goalie in two seasons.
